8 years traveling together and turning dreams into memorable experiences for life

In our 8th anniversary, we celebrate the trips we’ve made together with the passengers who trusted us throughout this time, enabling us to turn their dreams into memorable experiences for life. To all of them, we extend our affection, our gratefulness, and our rewarding. That’s why we’ve launched a new Benefits Policy recently, which is meant to reward passengers who have already traveled with Across, granting them a discount they will be able to use in future trips with our boutique travel agency. Our Benefits Policy also rewards the recommendation among travelers: both passengers who refer other travelers, and travelers who were refered, will receive benefits.

And speaking about our trips with passengers…  we recently had the visit of Rosa Monica Garcia Gonzalez and Raquel Taddei Natalia Garcia, who traveled from Europe to make a mother/daughter trip around “The Best of Argentina” . In 19 days, they visited the city of Buenos Aires, the Delta from Tigre and a typical ranch from the outskirts of Buenos Aires, Iguazu Falls, El Calafate and Bariloche. We were very pleased to receive their comments and notice that their trip has been great! We share their testimony:

Dear Paula, we are back in Switzerland and as I promised, I’m sending you a summary of our trip, which turned really wonderful … largely due to the dedication and care committed by you and the rest of the team. So please extend our gratefulness to all who have collaborated.

Buenos Aires: Loi Suites Hotel was very nice. They changed us of room, to a nicer one, when we pointed that the one we had received was very noisy. The staff was efficient and very friendly. The city trapped us with its charm; we talked with many people and went to so many places! The transfers were adequate and we enjoyed the tours. The City Guide Ana was a great communicator, the guide at Tigre Santiago slightly less communicative but correct.

Estancia La Porteña in San Antonio de Areco: This site is amazing, beautiful and everyone there (Gonzalo, Cata, Santiago, Lucho) received us with a kindness that even surpassed the one received at Buenos Aires. We had a great time with the dogs, horses, the songs and dances! And we ate so much! But everything was great, so there was no way around it …

Iguazu Falls: Is hard to select the words that describe this marvelous site… I found it so stunning that didn’t want walk away the Devil’s Throat despite being soaked!! La Cantera Hotel is beautiful, away from the center but with a free shuttle to town, which we seized daily to go for dinner and try the wonderful local fishes (after having so much meat at Buenos Aires, we desired this change). At town we also took a guided tour with Aborigine people, who taught us many things about the life and customs of the Guarani people, for free. The transfers were somewhat chaotic with delays of up to 30 minutes in the morning, which was not pleasant after getting up at half past six… but the guide we had, Michelle, made up with her sympathy, kindness and great professionalism.

El Calafate: I can neither find the words to describe the glaciers!!! Must see them, live them, feel them… and if you can, stay and live there for a while. The Mirador del Lago Hotel is very nice, even though we didn’t have the best views from the room, everything was right and the excursions were great.

Bariloche: we skied for two days and the other two, we made tours on our own, discovering lots of things around Bariloche, which we loved. The Cacique Inacayal Hotel is wonderful, we got an amazing room with a lake view which we enjoyed a lot; as also the pool, the spa and the lounge, with stunning views. The only problem, which we discussed at reception, was the lack of WIFI… we could not make use for almost a week! The transfers and excursions were correct and very suitable (perhaps Circuito Chico results a bit short … it’s better to include Circuito Grande too, anyway we made the whole circuit).

We came back, somehow changed for the better, and despite being experienced travelers, we have learned so much from the people and places that we have been lucky enough to visit in these three weeks; we are determined to come back … this time including my son. We’ll keep contacted, hoping to arrange together, something so wonderful again, for 2016.
